The Chairman of Njiko Carnival, Charly Boy on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Imo Airport, Owerri, Imo State, ran into students observing Rag Day.

The controversial entertainer quickly converted the Rag Day to #NJIKOCARNIVAL campaign and the students were willing to the diversion from their primary objective of the rag day.

The rag day take over was a part of his 2016 Njiko Carnival campaign that he tagged: #NjikocarnivalP: the matter on everybody’s lip.
The Njiko Carnival was conceived by Charly Boy to awaken the love and passion of Ndi Igbo for their cultural heritage. It is a carnival where they invite Nigerians at home and abroad, from all walks of life and those in Diaspora to interact and experience the same in pomp and pageantry. The 2016 edition of the carnival is expected to hold on Dec 26th-30th, 2016.
