Dressing well is important as it enhances the image of any one, ladies and gentlemen inclusive. For tall men, shopping can often become the most stressful part of their lives especially when they’ve got absolutely no clue as to what they should pick.
Although personal taste will dictate the way you dress or your personal style, depending on your body type there are also certain techniques that can be adopted to highlight the parts of your body you feel most comfortable with, whilst shifting attention away from those parts you don’t.
Opt for dark colors: When choosing the colours of suits or sneakers, you should give preference to dark colours. They make you cool and not too shouting considering the fact that you’re outstanding. Colours like black, brown or grey work perfectly.
Wear lightweight materials: Cotton fabrics can come in handy if you’re beyond average in height. They don’t add more weight to your height or make you look bigger than how you really are.
Avoid vertically striped designs as it adds to the height and thinness(for tall slim men). Large prints such as check(large checks) shirts are great for tall men. Big print casual shirts can also tone down your height.
Wear a well-structured dress: If you think your clothes from brands don’t fit you perfectly as you’d like, get custom made dress shirts but you should stay away from double pleated pants. There’s every reason to know your tailor. Avoid wearing baggy clothes.

Wear less pronounced denims: Wear denims that are kind of monochrome. You know, the ones that have threads which match the colour of the denim. Let your jean have minimal details. Avoid wearing low slung jeans.
Wear pants that fit: If your pants don’t fit you perfectly, then chances are that they are too big for you. For some, if you’re comfortable wearing pants that hug your legs, then you’re good to go.
It’s imperative that you get watches that complemented your wrists because you have larger wrists than the average man.
Tie it wide: Don’t ever wear the slim ties. Make sure your ties are neatly tied wide. Don’t fold the ties for storage, rather hang them.
Wear jackets: What better way to show off that broad chest of yours than wearing a jacket? But hey, never wear shoulder padded blazers, padded jackets and short jackets.
Wear T-shirts and Polo Necks: Wear T-shirts and polo necks that complement your height.
Avoid clinging clothes. Go for fabrics that have fullness and softness.
Avoid monochrome outfits like suits. Wear different colour top and bottom to break the length of your appearance.
Avoid wearing trousers on your belly; ensure they are on your waist. Also make sure your pants or trousers are longer than your normal length.
