Family caught with pot of soup in Abuja

– A man and his two children have allegedly stolen a pot of soup in Abuja

– The family was caught where eating Akpu with the ogbono soup

Life is not palatable to a family of one man and two children as they have allegedly stolen a pot of soup from where the owner was cooking it in Mpape area of Abuja.



The owner simply identified as Femi said he just went into his room to fetch salt that he wanted to add to the already done soup but only to discover that the pot of soup was stolen.

He explained that after some efforts were made, he found the stolen soup  with children

Femi said that he was surprised that by the time he found it, the family of three including the father has already served themselves the soup with akpu.
He said: “The moment the father saw my frowning face, he stood up to apologize, saying they were hungry and had nothing to eat.

“I had no choice than to leave them with it, but they should not have taken everything.
“It pained me because I am also managing and had to look for the money for that soup and they just took everything.’’
Daily Trust reports that the owner of soup only asked them to return the pot after they had helped themselves with its content.
In a related development a young man allegedly stole a three month old baby from a house at Bristow round-about in the afternoon.
On Wednesday, July 27, mob justice was meted out on an unidentified young man who was accused to have stolen a 3-month-old child from a home in a busy town of Gboko, Benue state.
A source disclosed that: “We just heard the baby’s mother screaming ‘thief, thief’ and we came out only to see the boy running with the baby. Some boys in the area collected the baby and started beating him while the others were looking for tyre and calling more people to come out. He was begging and crying but the other boys did not listen.”
