Buhari nominates MD for NNDC


– President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Nsima Ekere as the managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)

The current acting MD of the commission is Mrs Ibim Semenitari

Nsima Ekere and Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, have been nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari as the managing director and the chairman respectively of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

This was contained in a letter President Buhari sent to Senate President Bukola Saraki on Wednesday, July 20,ThisDay reports.

Mrs Ibim Semenitari is current acting MD of the commission

A source within the presidency said that the letter may be read on the floor of the Senate on Thursday, July 21.

NDDC is a federal government agency established by former president Olusegun Obasanjo in 2000 with the sole mandate of developing the oil-rich Niger Delta region of southern Nigeria.
