Police Rescue Abducted NYSC Member

Three-member gang kidnappers have been reportedly arrested by the Zamfara State Police Command.


The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Adaji Adejo, who paraded the suspects at the state command, disclosed that National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) female member, identified as Ngozi Dabiri, serving in Abuja, was robbed in Maitama district and kidnapped by the suspects.

He said that the command swung into action immediately to trace the suspects and also rescued the abducted female NYSC member.

According to him, the three suspects who were reportedly arrested while trying to escape from Sokoto to Gusau, are Ifeanyi Paul of Awka Anambra State, Echo Chukwuenmeka from Enugu State and Mathew Obi also from Awka Anambra State.

The Commissioner added that the suspects who specialised in armed robbery and kidnapping in Abuja and parts of its environs had confessed to having committed the offence.
